Chiropractic Care

We provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Dr's Sonal Dalal and Antonio LaNeve utilize a comprehensive and advanced concept of Chiropractic called SOT or Sacro Occipital Technique.  SOT is a system of removing the cause of nerve malfunction using minimum force to restore and maintain health. SOT employs the use of wedge shaped blocks to allow the body to seek its correct alignment and balance. There are many combinations of block positions used, and these are determined by tests that precede each adjustment. SOT recognizes the importance of body language in the form of neurological tests, weak muscles and tender areas and other signs and indicators, to determine the type of adjustment needed. As the body responds and heals, stress areas around the body are eliminated and natural tolerance levels are reinstated. Dr's Sonal Dalal, and Antonio LaNeve, have years of training, expertise and experience in helping patients eliminate pain or disorders in the craniospinal region, TMJ, neck pain, headaches, back and pelvis pain, and extremities (foot, ankle, knee, and hips as well as hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders) and other related conditions originating from the spine. Many of our patients utilize our expertise and care to prevent injuries and achieve total health or wellness.

ART (Active Release Technique)

ARTA highly successful hands-on soft tissue management system for treating injuries of muscles, tendons, nerves, ligaments and other soft tissues. The ART Soft-Tissue Management System provides a way to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) including: carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff syndrome, tennis elbow, runner's knee, chronic lower back pain, and whiplash associated disorder to name a few.

GrastonThe Graston Technique

The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. The Graston Technique, originally developed by athletes, is changing the way clinicians-- including athletic trainers, chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists--and patients view treatment of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries as well as post surgical scar tissue pain.

Chiropractic is Not Just for the Back and Neck Pain

Although back and neck dysfunction, herniations, and pain are among the most commonly treated symptoms within a chiropractic office, we here at Chatham Chiropractic Center treat a wide array of ailments. Shoulder and knee pain as well as headaches and TMJ problems are also common. Sports injuries such as tennis elbow, calf sprain/strains, and plantar fasciitis is also encountered often. Any musculoskeletal or nervous system problem can be treated by any one of our doctors.

Pregnancy Protocols of Chiropractic

A woman’s body goes through tremendous change throughout pregnancy. Between the ligament laxity and the increased weight in the front of the spine, back pain can become very intense and pelvic disorders often occur. Chiropractic adjustments throughout pregnancy can help offset this pain and help make labor easier.  All of our doctors at Chatham Chiropractic Center have helped pregnant women with their pregnancy related discomforts.

Chiropractic for Kids

The first subluxation starts during the birthing process for your child. Persistent subluxations can lead to frequent infections, newborns and infants who are described as “colicky” and babies who may not be able to breast feed bilaterally, for example. Parents who have their babies adjusted report less infections and all around more happy babies.  As your child grows into an adolescent and then a teenager, there are more stressors on the body, especially if they are active in sports and athletic activities, and chiropractic adjustments can help the body handle the changes and stressors more efficiently.

Scoliosis Screenings and Management

Screening your child for scoliosis, a deviation in the curve of the spine, is extremely important as your child is growing. Even the slightest scoliosis can cause a great deal of change in the structure and function of the body so prevention and early detection is crucial. Specific spinal realignment and adjustments has been proven to slow and often times stop the progression of a spinal curvature. A simple chiropractic examination is the first start followed by individual management of each case using corrective adjusting techniques and at home stretches and exercises.

Custom Orthotics From Foot Levelers

Chatham Chiropractic Center offers custom orthotics from Foot Levelers. We have a state of the art Foot Scanner Kiosk that will scan both of your feet at one time and also measures your posture! Foot Levelers orthotics are the only functional orthotics that support all three arches of your foot. Each orthotic is custom made by hand based on your feet, body, and health profile. Over the counter orthotics may be less expensive, but they will only support one arch in your foot. When only one arch is being supported, it may not maintain the structure of your plantar vault, and problems can start in other parts of your body. Ask Dr Sonal or Dr Tony to try out our Foot Levelers Kiosk at your next appointment!

Cyrotherapy is an inexpensive way to help reduce swelling and inflamamtion, numb the affected area to reduce pain, reduce muscle spasms. Cyrotherapy can be self applied! Please consult your doctor before the self-administration of any therapy.

Corrective Exercises

At Chatham Chiropractic Center, we teach our patients how to perform special "blueprint" exercises which can help strengthen and correct the irregularities in their body which may be causing pain. Many of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan. In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place. Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. In each case, targeted corrective exercises and stretches from our experienced chiropractor will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.

Lifestyle Advice

Many of our patients come to see our chiropractor to address a specific pain symptom such as back pain, neck pain or headaches. While our chiropractor will address each patient's specific condition with chiropractic care, we often find it helpful to "coach" our patients towards achieving a healthier lifestyle. For example, there may be certain activities that you should avoid or do differently to prevent yourself from unintentionally aggravating your particular health challenges. The goal of including lifestyle advice with a chiropractic care plan is to help each and every patient achieve the fulfilling and happy lifestyle they deserve, one that is full of the activities that are enjoyed most. We recognize that every single one of our patients is a whole person, and we use our expertise to help them reach total health and wellness.

Nutritional Counseling

What does nutrition have to do with chiropractic care? The goal of chiropractic care is to help patients achieve total health and balance with their body, and as part of that goal we provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices. Nutritional counseling by our experienced chiropractic health professionals can assist a patient on their return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Do you know how these supplements and vitamins interact with one another? At our Chatham chiropractic clinic, we can provide each patient with a structured nutritional program that is based on their individual needs.

Spinal & Postural Screenings

There is a saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Your spinal health is no exception. Posture and spinal screenings by a trained and experienced chiropractor such as Dr. Sonal Dalal   can help reveal important health information, unlocking the door to improved health and well-being. In order to help the Chatham community, we provide screenings at area malls, community events, health fairs and places of employment. • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
